How It's Made

Made by hand, start to finish

Every piece starts as a drawing and ends with assembly by hand. Here's what happens in between.

I design every illustration. Each bird, salamander, and garden pattern is original work, drawn from inspiration around me and shaped by years as a product designer.

My machines cut and print the parts. A laser cutter and a 3D printer turn those designs into physical pieces. It's the reason the designs are precise.

I assemble and finish everything by hand. This is where most of the time goes.

  • I sand, finish, and fit the wooden inlays on every piece by hand. Wood is a natural material, so it always keeps me on my toes — no two turn out exactly alike.
  • For the large frames, I assemble the acrylic, foam core, and hardware into a proprietary construction that is unique to BellaForm Creative.
  • For the small magnetic frames, I set each magnet by hand.

Then I wrap it up. Everything goes out in gift wrapping with a natural look and gets a hand-stamped brand seal following quality review.

That's the whole process — designed, made, and finished by one person, in the mountains of western North Carolina.
